Shifting To Destress Yourself

Well, hello there my friend and Happy Monday!

What a great day it is today!  I am so happy and grateful!  I am so lucky!

This past week, my son rented me a movie called, 'The Shift', starring Dr. Wayne Dyer.  I fell in love with it!  I watched it two times on Easter, he he he.  Can you believe that?  I never watch TV and I rarely watch movies.

Because I fell in love with this movie, I just had to have it.  I called two Wal Marts, in town, and went to Target, and no one had it.  I checked online and all the 'new' copies were $23.95.

On Wednesday, my Mom and I went to Costco, and there was a book called 'The Shift,' with Dr. Wayne Dyer on the cover.  There was only one book left.

I picked it up and said. "I don't want the book."  So, I put the book down and walked away.  My Mom and I were in Costco for about an hour and a half to two hours, because that is how we role.  We like to dilly dally and look at everything because they got some cool merchandise.

When we went to the check out, I was walking by the book section, and 'the book' was there, on top of all the other books, so I picked it up again.  As I was looking at it, I read, "Free DVD The Shift, Included."  Can you believe that?  Did I mention that this was the only copy they had?

The best part was, it was only $13.99.  So, I bought it, of course.

Why the heck am I telling you all of this?  I am telling you this for several reasons; first, you have to see the movie, 'The Shift,' second, in the movie, it talks about paying attention, third, in the movie, it talks about the Universe working for you, and finally, the shift is from ambition (a what's in it for me attitude) to meaning (a how can I serve attitude).

This movie will make you ponder and reflect on your life.  If and when we pay attention, we hear that still small voice that is guiding us, and this helps destress yourself because you are listening for that voice and not to the stressful voice that is speaking repeats in your mind.  If and when we pay attention, instead of allowing our mind to race with stress, we can discover what is in front of us, the way the book was there for me.

When we start to believe that the Universe is working for us, we begin to believe in blessings rather than 'bad luck', which is a destress yourself attitude change.  No matter what we focus on, it is true for us.  If we focus on our blessings, we are happy and experience joy.  If we focus on all the things that are wrong in our lives (the bad luck), we experience anxiety and depression.  You see?  It is our habit of what we focus on that creates happiness or unhappiness in our life.

Whether you watch the movie, or not, make it a habit to consciously pay attention to that still small voice, believe that life is working for you, and make the shift from ambition (what's in it for me) to meaning (how can I serve).

In my newsletter, The Cure To Destress Yourself, I challenged you to create happiness, energy, and vitality through serving others.  I pray, with all my heart, that you have accepted this challenge so that you can experience the journey of destressing yourself.

I am so grateful for you!!!

Have a wonderful week!

Until next week, don't forget to have fun and be playful!
